blogThis is a list of recent blog posts which I found interesting. That I found them interesting doesn't mean I necessarily agree with or endorse all of the ideas presented in the posts, but that I found them to be intriguing and thought-provoking. They may benefit you as you prayerfully consider your area of shepherding and stewardship, which has been given to you in trust by the Lord. (They are listed in no particular order of interest.) Please post your comments to discuss  any article that strikes your interest. If you have recent blog posts to nominate, please send the link and your reasons for nominating that post to

Photos of Children From Around the World With Their Most Prized Possessions

This link comes courtesy of Ashley, a member of Bridge Baptist Church. What is fascinating about this collection of photos is that it covers many different cultures from all around the world, and it shows that all children, regardless of culture or race, have something in common: they hope and dream about the future, and they all play with their toys as their imaginations carry them away into great fun. God has made us all, and we aren't so very different from each other.

The Price of Marriage in China

This link, also nominated by Ashley, shows an interesting new industry in China: marriage making. The reasons for this industry are many. They must have a high view of Scripture, a high view of God, and a high view of the pulpit. Each of these fundamental commitments is indispensable.”

Major Causes of Death

Here is a visualization of the major causes of death in the 20th century. Of course they left out abortion…

Marriage: What It Is, Why It Matters, and the Consequences of Redefining It

"Marriage is based on the truth that men and women are complementary, the biological fact that reproduction depends on a man and a woman, and the reality that children need both a mother and a father. Redefining marriage does not simply expand the existing understanding of marriage; it rejects these truths. Marriage is society’s least restrictive means of ensuring the well-being of children. By encouraging the norms of marriage—monogamy, sexual exclusivity, and permanence—the state strengthens civil society and reduces its own role."

The Anti-Beatitudes, As Taught By Satan

This is very good. It teaches the Beatitudes of Christ by looking at their opposites!

"And Satan, seeing the horde before him, went down into the parched valley. And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying..."
