Top Blog Posts of the Week 6/16/2012

Posted by Joshua Claycamp on

This is a list of recent blog posts which I found interesting. That I found them interesting doesn’t mean I necessarily agree with or endorse all of the ideas presented in the posts, but that I found them to be intriguing and thought-provoking. They may benefit you as you prayerfully consider your area of shepherding and stewardship, which has been given to you in trust by the Lord. (They are listed in no particular order of interest.) Please post your comments to discuss  any article that strikes your interest. If you have recent blog posts to nominate, please send the link and your reasons for nominating that post to .

What Sanctification Is and Is Not

"J.C. Ryle’s Holiness is a classic work that bears repeated readings. Recently I returned to his chapter on sanctification, a term that he defines as “an inward spiritual work which the Lord Jesus Christ works in a man by the Holy Ghost, when He calls him to be a true believer.”

The Social Network Gospel

A terrific article on what is the 21st Century equivalent of the 1st century Roman Road: the internet. Paul was able to plant churches and navigate across an entire empire because of the excellent roads and paths for traveling. Did you know that the Internet has formed a global road of interconnectedness that allows us more pervasively share the Gospel? This article is a fascinating read!

Shocking Barna Statistic

"*A new study shows that 100% of Barna statistics are skewed to lend credibility to his anti-church bias"

Don't believe every statistic you read from Barna, especially the ones that consistently slander the Bride of Christ.

// Raising Gospel Centered Children

"Everyday, the gospel compels us to ask: How are we discipling our children? More importantly, how should we be discipling them?"

Do Family Curses Still Exist?

"I would suggest instead that what was still is, and what is not never was. "

Dispatches from the Front

I have not seen this myself, but everyone who has says that it is a very moving and compelling DVD series on front-line missions and missionaries who are serving in some remarkable and miraculous ways. This would be a great DVD set to buy and watch with your family to see how God is working around the world.
