In Kamloops, we're all feeling the itch of social isolation. What was quaint at first has now turned dreary. Initially, live streamed worship services were fun because they were new and interesting. But now a number of individuals say they are tired of social distancing, and ready to get back to normal.

Believe me, I get it! But let me encourage you to brace yourself for several more months of this within our Province and here in Kamloops. We need to be safe, and we need to be cautious about our approach in the weeks and months ahead. It looks like we've held the virus in check here in BC, but those gains could quickly be lost if we return to business-as-usual in a hasty or poorly conceived manner. Which means we need to manage our expectations, and we need to manage the manner in which we return to being the gathered church, First Baptist Kamloops.

So. Let me ask you a question: how are you feeling about all of this? We really want to know how you are feeling about getting back to normal, and how you are feeling about the church regathering for worship. We're planning for a dozen different contingencies for regathering once government eases restrictions or changes its guidance regarding gatherings, but what's most important to us is how you are feeling about all of this.
