This Good Friday we will reflect on the unmistakable sign of the cross from Luke 11:29-32. To ask for another sign, Jesus says, is evil. Not only is Christ crucified the only salvation offered by God, it is all the salvation there ever will be because it is all the salvation that ever could have been. To be tempted to look for more than the cross is wrong. To demand more is evil. We look no further than the cross, and we should only want the cross and nothing but the cross. Remember the cross today.
